CHC43121 – Certificate IV in Disability Support

Enrol in a course that will enable you to gain a nationally accredited qualification in an
industry which offers a broad range of employment opportunities.

Career opportunities: On completion of this qualification, students may be able to gain employment within a range of settings including residential services, where people live and are supported in houses in the community; larger residential facilities, including secure settings; and outreach services that support people to live in their own homes.

Prerequisite:
Completion of: CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual
Support (Disability)
OR
Completion of: CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual
Support (Disability)
OR
Completion of: CHC30408 Certificate III in Disability
PLUS the CHCSS00125 Entry to Certificate IV in Disability Support Skill Set.

Next course will commence: 9 September 2023
Funding available to eligible students. Student tuition fees as published are subject tot change given individual circumstances at enrolment.

Entry Requirements:

  • Attendance at an interview prior to enrolment
  • Suitable level of LL&N skills as determined by completion of a LL&N assessment
  • Suitable level of computer and digital literacy skills
  • Access to suitable technology
  • Ability to commit to at least 120 hours of work placement

The Reconnect program is also available to assist eligible participants to overcome barriers to engaging
in education and training and provides support into further study or employment pathways.

Practical Placement:
You will be required to complete a minimum of 120 placements may occur in aged care, disability, or other
aged care and community settings. Further details about placement will be provided at the information session.

Mandatory Industry requirements for Placement:

  • Current Influenza (flu) vaccination
  • Covid 19 vaccinations, including boosters
  • Victorian Police Check
  • Ability to obtain a clear NDIS worker check

This training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding.

To gain this qualification you must successfully complete 10 units.

Course will be run Thursday evenings via ZOOM and 1 Saturday per month (face to face)
