Entry into Care Roles Skills Set – CHCSS00114

This skill set will provide job seekers with the immediate skills required to gain employment in the aged care or disability support sectors.

Pines Learning offers:

Learning Outcomes:

  • Provide entry level support for basic client care
  • Know and practice infection prevention and control
  • Understand workplace health and safety guidelines

Units of Competency:

CHCCCS015 – Provide individualised support
HLTINF006 – Apply basic principles and practices of infection prevention and control
HLTWHS002 – Follow safe work practices for direct client care

The Reconnect program is also available to assist eligible participants to overcome barriers to engaging in education and training and provides support into further study or employment pathways.

Mandatory Industry requirements for Placement:

  • Current Influenza (flu) vaccination
  • Covid 19 vaccinations, including boosters
  • Victorian Police Check
  • Statutory Declaration
  • NDIS Worker Check (some facilities

Duration:
5 sessions plus 40 hours of placement at a regulated service
Classroom based training (face to face) and supervised practical experience in a community and/or residential setting.

Award Issued
A Statement of Attainment of CHCSS00114 – Entry into Care Roles Skill Set will be issued following successful completion of this course. This statement of attainment is a valuable career development stepping stone that will enable you to kickstart a career in aged care, home care and disability support.

Funding available to eligible students
Student tuition fees as published are subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment.
