Supporting Constitutional Recognition and the Voice to Parliament in Australia

Pines Learning, as a dedicated provider of lifelong learning opportunities, proudly supports the Australian Voice referendum. Pines Learning advocates for Constitutional recognition of the First Peoples of Australia and the establishment of an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to Parliament. We believe that this significant step will foster a stronger, more inclusive democracy that empowers and represents all Australians.

At the core of our mission lies a commitment to education, empowerment, and the enrichment of individuals’ lives. We recognise that education is a fundamental tool for building an equitable and just society, and that progress hinges on acknowledging and addressing the historical and ongoing injustices faced by Indigenous peoples in Australia.

We firmly believe that acknowledging the First Nations’ unique place and contributions to Australia’s history and culture through Constitutional recognition is a vital step towards a more inclusive society.

Providing First Nations people with a constitutionally enshrined platform to have their voices heard on issues that affect them directly is a significant stride towards meaningful participation and engagement in the democratic process.

As we continue to fulfil our mission as an adult education provider, we seek to incorporate Indigenous perspectives, histories, and cultures in our programs and courses, fostering an environment that respects, celebrates, and learns from the First Nations’ rich heritage.

Pines Learning encourages everyone to seek the information they need to form their own individual views on the referendum. We recommend that all Australians learn more by reading the Uluru Statement from the Heart.
