Employment & Pathways Trainer / Coordinator
What does a normal day entail?
Working with learners from all walks of life with different learning goals. Some people are looking to improve their computer skills to enhance their everyday life, whilst others are keen to develop skills and knowledge for the workplace. Currently I am teaching classes in the Business Admin course – administration skills, PowerPoint and Publisher.
What do you love most about your job?
Every class is different. I love meeting new people keen to learn and watching them progress. Gaining digital literacy skills whether for home or work is very empowering as technology plays such a large part in all our lives. It is very rewarding to see learners gain confidence as their skills and knowledge develop. It really is a privilege to be part of their journey.
What do you love doing outside of work?
Spending time with family, walking my dog, gardening, travel, reading, food, discovering Victoria, learning new things.
What were you going to be ‘when you grew up’?
Teacher – surprise, surprise.
What is a totally different job that you would like to try?
Nurse.
