What does a normal day entail?

Lots of different things! If I’m not teaching my class, I am looking after my area – I might be interviewing prospective students, liaising with trainers and volunteers, looking after existing students’ needs, answering emails, phone calls etc.

What do you love most about your job?

The constant change -Meeting new people all the time. Learning about other people and other cultures. Helping people with their English language journey, seeing students happy – making friends and enjoying classes. And working with a really lovely group of women in a workplace full of people doing great things.

What do you love doing outside of work?

Reading, Listening to podcasts while walking in the bush, Cooking and eating out, Catching up with friends, Walking my dogs, Yoga and Pilates and my Art classes!

What were you going to be ‘when you grew up’?

A constantly fluctuating list – Working in a zoo, a veterinary assistant, author, teacher, journalist…

What is a totally different job that you would like to try?

Investigative reporter or assistant to Louis Theroux…
