All Abilities: Life Skills for Living Independent Living

Course Details

This small supportive class is designed to help individuals with a high-functioning intellectual disability develop a variety of skills to live more independently for everyday life.

Topics will be covered over Term 3 and Term 4 will include:

Banking, Budgeting, Nutrition, Cooking, First Aid, Fire Safety, Hazards/Safety, Cyber Security, Community Police, Relationships, Transport and Travelling safely, Recreation and Connecting to Community.

Topics and activities will involve a range of guest speakers, activities and opportunities for participants to develop life skills to be better informed and connected to community and living more independently.

Pre-requisites: A short interview is required for anyone who has not previously enrolled in the course, to ensure that the course is a good fit for the learner’s needs and goals.
